Dapoxetine 60mg is a short-acting SSRI used to treat premature ejaculation (PE) in adult men. It works by increasing serotonin activity involved in ejaculatory control, helping delay ejaculation and improve control during sexual activity.
Benefits:
– Helps delay ejaculation
– May improve control and sexual satisfaction
– Designed for use when needed rather than continuous daily treatment
– Has a relatively rapid onset compared with daily SSRIs
Potential Side Effects:
– Nausea, dizziness, headache, or diarrhoea
– Fatigue or dry mouth
– Light-headedness or fainting, particularly when standing
Common Use:
– Usually taken 60mg approximately 1–3 hours before sexual activity
– Maximum: one dose in 24 hours
– 60mg is generally considered the higher dose and is typically used when 30mg has not provided adequate benefit and is well tolerated.
